Transitional Living Program

The Transitional Living Program addresses the needs of the older adolescent and the young adult ages 18 to 21 and are homeless, and/or under the age of 18 who are pregnant and parenting. These youth under the age of 18 and their children will reside at the Youth Service Bureau group home and will be provided with services to address their individual needs.  The goal of this program is to enable homeless youth to become self sufficient and to reduce their long term dependency on public social services. The program provides participants with a cluster of services designed to educate and train participants in the skills they need to live independently.

These services include education, information and counseling to prevent, treat or reduce substance abuse, referral and access to medical and mental health services and training to acquire and maintain employment while assisting them in securing safe stable shelter.

The goal of this program is to assist youth in achieving independence and self sufficiency.
