Summary of Duties/Purpose: Under the guidelines of the agency, the child care worker will have the primary responsibility for establishing and maintaining a living environment in the shelter conducive to providing safe and comfortable housing for youth whose behavior and temporary situation require shelter care. The child care worker will be responsible for daily operation of the shelter, including the preparation of meals, maintenance of household cleanliness, transportation of residents and supervision of youth in placement at all times. The child care worker will serve as a positive role model for residents by exhibiting responsible and considerate behaviors and will create a nurturing and homelike environment.

Part time Child Care Worker positions are eight hour shifts, $9.50 per hour.  Must be available for all shifts, including overnights and weekends. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a current driver's license, car insurance, High School Diploma or GED and pass DCFS requirements, including a background check. EOE.
